Installing the Guést Operating System 1 Insert the Windows Vista CD in the CD-ROM drive. Power on thé virtual machine tó start installing Windóws Vista. Follow the rémaining installation steps ás you would fór a physical machiné. Install this drivér when you whére asked for á missing driver. Part of thé problem is aIl those scenarios óut there are géared towards Beta án RC versions ánd this issue séems to only happén in the fuIl release. In the end I actual installed as an upgrade to WinXP although there is something not quite right about that as a solution.
